• Builders Door and Window is a recognized local manufacturer of high quality made to order wood window and door systems for both renovation and new construction products. Our products are not subject to large price premiums for non-standard sizes, as each window or door is manufactured to fit the specified openings.

• Builders’ products are tested by independent laboratories and exceed industry standards for wind and water penetration guaranteeing years of performance. Testing specifications and results are available on request.

• Builders’ premium stain grade product line is manufactured with vertical grain kiln-dried Douglas Fir and can be stained to complement any decor.

• Builders’ windows are made with solid rails and stiles (no veneers, MDF or finger-jointed materials), ensuring a long lasting and stable product.

• Builders paint grade doors and windows are manufactured with the highest grades of mixed grain fir.

• Builders’ window jambs are manufactured from 1-1/4 inch solid fir - not finger-joint pine, hemlock or MDF. Door jambs are available in single and double rabetted configurations for both paint and stain grade

• Builders’ quality construction techniques include cross-lapped dado corners (not mitred), sloped exterior sills to ensure water run-off, and integrated screw fastened T-bar mullions.

• Builders’ sash sizes are thicker than industry standards. Sash corners are double dowelled and glued to minimize joint separation.

• Builders’ concealed weather strip is readily sourced and may be replaced as required.

• Builders uses the Truth™ ‘Maxim’ hardware systems (hinges and operators), built to operate smoothly and available in a variety of finishes and configurations. Truth™ ‘Maxim’ hardware systems carry a lifetime warranty. Builders’ heavy duty ‘Maxim’ roto-operators standard offerings feature washable, adjustable and removable hinge systems. Oversized casement window hardware comes with tie sash locks as a standard feature.

• Builders practices “green”- our lumber is purchased from mills that adhere to renewable forest practices. As a “value added” manufacturer, Builders provides products and jobs in our local economy. We are able to use short dimension materials that would normally be scrapped or burned, and we recycle our waste products.

• Builders’ quality finishes are chosen to meet our rigorous standards of performance, for both paint grade and stain grade products.

• Builders is able to produce windows in almost any configuration. We work with architects, designers, builders and home-owners, to produce products with multiple options in sash, mullion, sills, trims, true divided and simulated divided lights, tempered and laminated glass, stained and leaded glass, and many other built-to-order features.

• Builders offers two-year warranties on all the wood components of our doors and windows, ten-year warranties on the sealed glass units, and a lifetime warranty on our Truth™ hardware.
